Hallo, My name is Giusy I’m an Italian Cross Stitcher and Quilter .
I can’t remember when was the first time I’ve got a needle on my hands, I was so little! It was my beloved Granny, Nina, who tought me to cross stitching and the loving for all what’s involve sewing, fabric, scissor, measures, floss etc.
My other Grandmother was a milliner, and I remeber me as a little girl under her Singer featherweight playing with fabric she throw on the pavement as she was sewing on a skirt or a jacket, I can still remember the smell of the fabric and I can still ear the Singer running on.
So it was natural to me start sewing and cross stitching.
I take inspiration from my Grandmother Nina, and that’s why the most of my pattern have a touch of “acient look” in it. I sayd “Acient” and not “Old”, that means I want to maintain a direct line with the traditions of the past and keep treasure of them also in this crazy present.
I am so glad that I find this webpage. I am from Holland and we have friends in Trieste – Italy.
In about three weeks now, we go to Trieste to visit our friends.
I am also a cross stitcher, quilter and a Tilda addict.
Will you help me to give me some adresses of shops in Trieste where I can buy some quiltfabrics and stuff? Or patterns to cross stitch?
